My mother is tired of my last post. She says she doesn't like poems she doesn't understand. I'm not sure I can classify my last post as a poem, and I don't even understand it, so I'm not sure what's up with all that... but I love my mother. So this is for you Mom!

Very nice, Josh. And relaxation is always good. Sometimes it's good to just take a holiday, and perhaps posting a random blog is a little holiday of sorts.
The fact that you wore a kilt to prom makes me extremely happy, even though it's not tartan.
Well, the tartan was a little out of reach for me. I just didn't have the wallet for it, though I would have loved to have bought a tartan kilt!
I really like that prom picture. I think it's really funny, Megan and I got congratulated for our marriage by several people that afternoon! It was such a blast getting that dressed up. We should have more official occations just so that we can dress properly once in a while.
I agree. We need more formal events. Things like attending an opera used to require formal attire, but over the past few decades it's become more and more casual, and I think that's incredibly frustrating. I bet Dr. Reynolds would say that the loss of formality and the tendency toward what is casual and comfortable has contributed to the decline of the West. I like formalwear. It's great fun. We should have more formal events. And we should reinstate teatime.
How sweet that your mom is still "the woman in your life" and how amazing that you let her read your blog. (Most sons and daughters are rather more reticent and secretive, I believe.)
